Our story

Nestled in the hills of Finca la Montaña, Musa weaves a story of connection between the land, the plants, and the people who tend to our coffee.
Crafted by the region's ideal climate of cool temperatures and ample rainfall, our beans honor the rich tradition of Colombian coffee cultivation, resulting in unique flavors that capture the essence of our land.

Altitude

Our coffee is grown above 6,000 ft (1,800 m), where nutrient-rich volcanic soil and cooler temperatures extend cherry maturation. This slower development produces beans with refined acidity, depth, and remarkable clarity in the cup.

Variety

Our core lots are cultivated from Castillo, a resilient, high-performing variety perfectly suited to our elevation and climate. Its natural resistance allows us to safeguard quality harvest after harvest. Alongside Castillo, we release limited micro-lots of rare varieties such as Geisha and Wush Wush, offered only in small, traceable quantities.

Process

Our coffees are primarily washed, undergoing controlled fermentation and meticulous rinsing to highlight purity and structure in the cup. In addition to our washed lots, we periodically offer honey and semi-washed processes that showcase alternative expressions of our terroir.

Water

All processing is done with clean, natural water sourced directly from our farm. Protecting water quality is essential to preserving the integrity of each bean and honoring the place it comes from.
